FURNITURE PAINTING WORKSHOPS with Painted Country

If you have been inspired by our galleries and your interest in painted and distressed furniture has been stimulated, you may like to enrol for one of our 1-day workshops which will be taking place regularly throughout the year (see list of dates below). You will learn how to achieve beautiful painted finishes in French country style using Annie SLOAN Chalk Paints. Working on sample boards you will experiment with colour combinations, crackle varnishes and waxes and we'll show you how to produce those wonderful, distressed, 'antiqued' patinas and achieve a professional result to be proud of. You are invited to bring a small piece of furniture to work on e.g. a bedside cabinet, small table, kitchen chair etc. The day begins at 9.45am working with colour on your sample board followed by mid-morning tea/coffee. We will discuss finishes for your own piece and then commence work! After a busy morning being creative, a light lunch with wine/soft drinks is provided. The painting continues during the afternoon when you will continue work on your own piece of furniture and the day comes to a close around 4pm. Places are limited to a maximum of six students & the workshops take place at the Village Hall in Brockdish, near Diss, Norfolk.  The cost is £85 per person and this includes all materials, sample board and lunch/refreshments. Please contact us to reserve your place.
Bed & Breakfast accommodation is available for those students not local to the area - see below for some recommendations:
